It is recommended that a dental exam is performed every 6 months.
This will reduce the chances of patients' need for complex treatments.
The exam will start with the review of the patient’s medical history. It is then followed by an oral cancer exam that is done intra-oraly and intra-oraly. Next, the dentist will examine the dental radiographs that were taken. Finally, the doctor will perform a clinical exam which includes inspection of teeth and gums and oral cavity.
At the conclusion of the examination your doctor will inform you of the treatment that is necessary and the treatment options available.
